This is a work-in-progress, a still life that I started five days ago using Painter 12's digital pastel. I used a late afternoon break in the action to work on this drawing. First I made a few adjustments to the sides and top of the vase, still trying to make sure the ellipse is right. Then I worked on the foreground. I made it lighter so I could add shadows and some lines to suggest wood grain. Then I cropped the image. Still more to do. . . .
