This image began with my recent photo of apples at Union Square in New York City (posted here yesterday). Last night, I used Painter's digital pastel to simplify the background and then created this digital woodcut. I always think of apples this time of year because it is Rosh Hashana, when we eat apples dipped in honey to celebrate the Jewish New Year. So today I am sending this image out to friends and family to wish them a sweet year ahead.
