I worked on this project again today. I am painting this double portrait based on a favorite photo. Today I made more changes to the man's face, head, and neck. This has been making me nuts but I feel like I am finally getting there. But it is worth it: what a lovely couple, and I want to do them justice. I am trying for a likeness but also want to capture the kindness and humor in their faces. Today I also started adding in some pale blue for shadows on white, to balance the colors and that was fun.
