I am getting ready to paint a portrait of this cat, working from a photo. (My photo reference is posted here October 29th). To get to ready to paint, I have been sketching Vinnie on the canvas with some conte crayon. I started with gray, then switched to brown just to be able to see the changes. I have been making small changes to Vinnie's little face, and am getting closer to a likeness, so I plan to start painting soon.
