Today I worked on this painting, a landscape done with oil bars. This is a view of Long Hill Gardens (in Beverly, MA), loosely based on a photo that I took there a few weeks ago This morning I added some detail to the trees on the right, and did a little work on the fence. With this much of the painting done, it is far easier to ruin it than to make it better, so I am working slowly and carefully. There are still some things that I plan to change, but this painting is getting close to finished -- or at least I think it is. (I have been wrong before.)
