This looks like a pretty minimalist post, but this is just the first step of this project. I am going to use this box for a decoupage project using a family photo. The image is going to be a rescued and colorized snapshot of my mom reading a letter, back in the 1940s. The first step was to paint the inside of the box. I am using transparent acrylic paint. To get the color I was after, I applied three layers: fuchsia, blue-violet, and red.
