Here is my current painting as it looked on August 24th. My reference is a photo that I took in Colorado last summer (posted here August 18.) On the 24th, I was still working on the composition. I wanted to make sure the lines of the lake are straight and peaceful. You can see the purple lines along the shore of the lake, and the purple shadows added to the mountains in the background. This is acrylic used as watermedia, on Aquaboard, 16" x 20". To be continued. . .
