This is the painting I have been working on. My inspiration is a tiny snapshot taken during a trip to Estes Park, Colorado, in 1956. I created a digitally modified version of the snapshot to use as a photo reference (posted here April 14). Today I worked on the top lines in the composition, adjusting the relative height and shapes of the mountain peeks, trying to smooth those individual shapes into one continuous line.
